Khammam, April 30: The “Echoes of Change: Women’s Symposium on Globalization Challenges” convened at the Conference Hall, Shridhar Lodge Complex, Vaira Road, drew a distinguished gathering of advocates, leaders, and experts committed to advancing women’s rights and addressing the multifaceted impacts of globalization.
Chaired by Mrs. Sheik Nazima, Senior Judge and Social Activist, the symposium welcomed esteemed guests including Mrs. Porika Maunik, IPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Khammam; and Dr. Chandravati, Former Legislative Assembly Member, who graced the event as guests of honor. Notably, Dr. Ayesha Sultana, Assistant Editor at Radiance News Portal, and Aware Trust Member Markaz and Jamaat-e-Islami Hind member, was felicitated for her remarkable contributions to women’s empowerment.
In her address, Dr. Sultana spoke passionately about the legacy of Sk. Fatima, the renowned woman educationalist, and emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment, globalization, and the value of the vote. She urged women to aspire to excellence in education, highlighting knowledge as the pathway to power. Dr. Sultana underscored the significance of prioritizing health, financial stability, and safety, asserting that empowerment transcends cultural barriers, noting that “parda is never an obstruction to empowerment.”
The symposium featured a diverse lineup of speakers, each bringing expertise from their respective fields. Mrs. Mamidal Jhansi, Chief Executive Officer, and Mrs. Deena Kumari, Director of Operations, shared insights garnered from their extensive experience in community leadership and advocacy. Other notable speakers included Mrs. Banot Usha, Assistant Director of Operations; Mrs. Vijaya, Senior Lecturer; Mrs. Vanguri Eshwari, Senior Journalist; Mrs. Kumari Vadthya, Sarpanch, Manchukonda; and Mrs. B.
