Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has strongly condemned any forced displacement in Gaza, calling it “pure brutality” and completely unacceptable, reported the National Herald.
Speaking to journalists on his return from visits to Malaysia, Indonesia, and Pakistan, Erdogan stated that the United States is making a serious miscalculation in its approach to the region.
He emphasized that any resolution must acknowledge the region’s history, values, and accumulated experience, warning that disregarding the suffering of Palestinians would not benefit Washington.
Erdogan urged US President Donald Trump to fulfill his pre-election promises by prioritizing peace over war. “There is no place in this region for an ‘I did it, so it’s done’ approach,” he asserted.
The Turkish president reaffirmed his country’s unwavering support for Palestinian rights, calling for a fair resolution in line with international law.
“It is crucial to protect the Palestinian people and seek a just solution. Turkiye has always defended Palestinian rights and actively raised this issue on global platforms. Our efforts in securing ceasefires cannot be ignored,” Erdogan said.
He stressed that any steps taken must align with the will of the Palestinian people and ensure a just and lasting peace.
