Bengaluru: Jana Andolana Maha Mythri, a federation of NGOs has planned to conduct public orientation programmes across Karnataka to counter hatred and vicious atmosphere being created by communal and fascist forces.
Representatives of member organisations held a meeting in Gandhi Bhavan here yesterday to chalk out the details of the drive.
Speaking on the occasion, different leaders expressed deep concern about the pace at which RSS and its fringe organisations are spreading communal virus as they are close to the centenary of their inception.
Mohammed Ysuf Kanni and Mohammed Talha from Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, and SR Hiremat, Indudhar, Venugopal, Raghvendra and others spoke on the occasion.
It was stated that public awareness programmes will be conducted at Bengaluru, Mysuru, Shivamogga, and Raichur.
