Federation of Maharashtra Muslims Branch Formed in Jalna

– Ahmed Noor Qureshi

Jalna: A branch of the Federation of Maharashtra Muslims has been established in Jalna with the aim of presenting the community’s demands before the administration and the government. The decision was taken at a meeting held in Dukhi Nagar, Jalna, on Saturday.

Leaders emphasised that the Federation would remain a non-political platform, uniting representatives from various religious and social organizations to work collectively on community issues.

Speaking at the meet, Maulana Ilyas Khan Falahi, president of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Maharashtra, expressed concern over the prevailing situation in the country.

He said, “The current situation in the country has become extremely sensitive and alarming. Its impact on the Muslim community of India has left every concerned heart troubled and restless. These circumstances require that decision-makers, scholars, leaders, and responsible members of organisations adopt a joint plan of action to effectively face the challenges before the community.”

Maulana Nizamuddin Fakhruddin, state convenor of the Federation and member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, added: “Today, the community is facing serious issues, and individual efforts are insufficient to tackle them. At this time, it is imperative that all schools of thought and organisations come together on a unified platform so that a collective strategy can be adopted for the protection and guidance of the community.”

Shaikh Mujeeb, Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Maharashtra outlined the aims, structure, and working style of the Federation.

Office-bearers of various organisations welcomed the initiative of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind to establish the Federation in Jalna. It was also decided that the Federation would represent different social and religious organisations collectively.

By consensus, 6 convenors of the Federation have been appointed including Safeer Ahmed, Mufti Yusuf, Maulana Isa Kashif, Hafez Anis, Shakil Khan, Ahmed Noor Qureshi, and Hafiz Zubair Farooqui.

Among those present at the meeting were senior leader Iqbal Pasha, Maulana Sohel, Mufti Faheem, Ahmed Chaus, Mohammed Iftequddin, Abdul Waheed, K.M. Ashfaque, Aleem Qureshi, Shaikh Ismail, Sayed Shakir, and Atta Mohammed Bakshi and others were present.
