Jaipur: In a major political development, Mohammad Rizwan Khan, former President of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) in Rajasthan, joined the Congress party on Monday. The membership ceremony took place at the All India Congress Committee office in New Delhi.

Rizwan Khan’s entry into Congress was facilitated by Dr. Udit Raj, former MP and National President of All India Unorganized Workers and Employees Congress (KCC). Shortly after enrolling in the Congress, Rizwan Khan was appointed Vice Chairman of KCC, a front organization of Congress. This appointment came on the recommendation of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi.

At the KCC national office in New Delhi, Dr. Udit Raj personally handed over the appointment letter to Rizwan Khan, expressing his confidence in Khan’s ability to strengthen the organization in Rajasthan. Rizwan Khan, in turn, pledged to expand the organization across the state, reaching district, tehsil, and village levels.

In his address, Khan expressed his gratitude to the party leadership, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Dr. Udit Raj, and Surajmal Kardam, Chairman of KCC Rajasthan, for their trust in him.
