Four AMU students get admission offers from int’l universities

Aligarh: Four students of the Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University have received admission offers from prestigious international universities.

Mr. Shahnoor Alam has been successful in securing a spot in the Master 2 Arctic Studies at the Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines Observatory (OVSQ) in France. He completed the M.Sc. (Applied Geology) programme at the Department of Geology, A.M.U., Aligarh in 2024.

Ms. Sara Afzal has qualified for the MSc Public and Environmental Health Sciences programme at the University of Birmingham. The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). She completed her bachelor’s degree from the Department of Geology in 2023.

Mr Muhammad Fayez Rizvi and Mr Areeb Khan, who got their bachelor’s degrees from the Department of Geology in 2024, have secured admission to the University of Aberdeen’s MS Planetary Sciences programme.

Prof. Rashid Umar, Chairperson of the department, congratulated the students and remarked that their achievement reflects the strength of our educational system and the resilience of our students.
