Kolar, June 30: A newly formed Muslim youth organization has launched free ambulance service. Globe Education, Health & Charitable Trust offers 24×7 free ambulance service up to 5 kilometers distance around Kolar town.
Speaking to the media persons, Mohammed Feroze, an office bearer of the Trust, said the services will be for one and all, indiscriminately. However, for beyond five kms, up to 15 kms, only the fuel cost will be charged and driver’s services will also be free of cost, he said.
Witnessing the logistic hardships the poor face while obtaining even free medical services in government hospitals, the middle-class youth thought of being some help to them, hence the idea of ambulance.
The ambulance is equipped with first aid type basic medical facilities to cope up the emergency requirements of patients.
