Lucknow: On the occasion of World Cancer Day, Zakat and Charitable Foundation and Human Welfare Foundation jointly organized a free medical camp at Muazzam Ghar in Lucknow. The camp witnessed the participation of over 80 patients who availed themselves of various health check-ups.
During the camp, essential tests such as blood sugar tests, blood pressure tests, and general health check-ups were conducted to help people assess their health conditions. The primary objective of the medical camp was to raise awareness about cancer and educate people on preventive measures.
Prominent medical professionals, including Dr. Suhail Ahmed, Zafaruddin Ansari, and Mohammad Arif, actively participated in the camp. Asad Ali, the coordinator, and As Mohammad from the Human Welfare Foundation were also present to ensure the smooth execution of the initiative.
Doctors at the camp advised patients to adopt a healthy lifestyle, maintain a balanced diet, and undergo regular health screenings. They emphasized that conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes could lead to severe diseases, including cancer, making periodic health check-ups crucial.
Experts provided insights into the symptoms, causes, and preventive measures for cancer. They highlighted that tobacco consumption, smoking, and unhealthy lifestyles are major contributors to the disease. Attendees were also informed that early detection significantly increases the chances of successful treatment.
The camp aimed to provide essential healthcare services to underprivileged sections of society, ensuring that those who cannot afford expensive treatments receive necessary medical assistance. The Zakat and Charitable Foundation and Human Welfare Foundation reiterated their commitment to organizing similar free medical camps in the future, with the goal of reaching more individuals in need and promoting public health awareness.
