From Press Conferences to Plantations, Dars in Masjids – CIO Children are Flourishing Across India, Making It Green

National Campaign Convener

In a powerful display of commitment, discipline, and environmental responsibility, children from the Children Islamic Organisation (CIO) are leading a nationwide movement to make India green again. Now in its third week, the “Hands in Soil, Hearts with India” campaign has captured hearts across the country – from urban centres to rural villages.

From press conferences to plantation drives, and from Islamic dars in masjids to public awareness initiatives, CIO children are shining in every aspect of the campaign. They are planting thousands of trees, raising awareness about environmental conservation, and spreading a message of harmony between faith, action, and ecology.

The campaign has been widely praised for being youth-led and values-driven, as children speak confidently, act boldly, and inspire communities to take part in nation-building.

Hafiz Umar Farooque from Bhopal shared, “We are not just planting trees – we are planting hope. Every sapling is a promise for a better future.”

Mohd. Ammar from Nanded added, “Through our dars and public talks, we are teaching people that taking care of the Earth is part of our Islamic responsibility.”

Yasir Faheem from Akola said, “We’re getting our hands in the soil to serve our country. This campaign is not just about trees – it’s about building character.”

Muhammed Azqa from Rajasthan reflected, “Our Prophet ﷺ taught us to plant even if it’s our last day. We are living that teaching today with CIO.”

This Week’s Activities Include:

  • Tree Plantation Drives in schools, orphanages, and public gardens,
  • Dars and Awareness Talks in masjids across states like Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Telangana,
  • Children’s Presentations and Street Plays on environmental responsibility,
  • Press Conferences and Media Outreach by local CIO teams, and
  • Competitions and Creative Workshops for drawing, poetry, and speeches on nature and Islam.

Across India, this campaign is being seen as a rare example of young children taking moral and social leadership. As the third week continues, the impact grows louder and greener.

CIO’s “Hands in Soil, Hearts with India” is not just a campaign – it’s a movement of hope, action, and love for both Deen and Desh.
