Gaza Resistance Security Says Alleged Israeli Army Agent Arrested for Killing of Senior Leaders

The security apparatus of the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip announced that it had arrested an alleged informant accused of working with the Israeli army and providing intelligence used in attacks against senior resistance leaders.

The Middle East Monitor reported that the suspect was detained while allegedly attempting to flee beyond the “Yellow Line” after receiving what were described as urgent instructions from an Israeli military intelligence officer.

The source said the suspect confessed during interrogation, after being confronted with technical evidence and intelligence information, to monitoring the movements and locations of several resistance leaders under direct guidance from Israeli military intelligence. The information allegedly helped facilitate attacks targeting those leaders.

The source added that investigations are continuing in an effort to identify additional alleged informants accused of assisting Israeli forces in tracking resistance members and commanders in Gaza. The development comes amid an intensified crackdown by resistance-linked security forces on armed groups accused of cooperating with Israel.

Last week, the Radaa force, affiliated with the resistance security apparatus in Gaza, issued what it described as a ‘final warning’ to armed groups allegedly collaborating with Israel. The force called on the groups to surrender, warning that operations against them were escalating and that their elimination was ‘closer than ever’.

Radaa said it would continue pursuing and dismantling such groups regardless of circumstances, describing the current period as the strongest opportunity yet to end their activities. Resistance factions in Gaza have repeatedly claimed responsibility for operations targeting what they describe as Israeli-backed militias operating in areas under Israeli army control in eastern and northern Gaza.

In earlier statements, the factions said several militia members had been killed or wounded in clashes and attacks. They also released footage purportedly showing operations against militia members near eastern areas of Khan Younis.
