Jadcherla: A grand Get-Together programme was organised at the Super Function Hall here Friday, specially dedicated to the municipal councillors. The event was marked by the felicitation of the Municipal Chairman and Vice Chairman, who were presented with copies of the Quran with Telugu Translation. They expressed their gratitude to the organising team for hosting such a meaningful and well-structured programme.
The event commenced with the recitation of the Quran by Rasib Saboor Khan, followed by a Telugu translation by Muhammad Ayub. The programme was presided over by Muhammad Mahmood, Ameer-e-Maqami of Jadcherla. A key highlight was the speech delivered by Abdul Rasheed, emphasising the responsibilities of public representatives in fostering societal betterment. He highlighted the importance of promoting brotherhood, justice, and accountability while addressing public issues and safeguarding citizens’ rights. He also underscored the relevance of Quranic teachings as a guide for solving human problems and ensuring a righteous path for humanity.
As part of the event, the book Islam Pravakta Andari Kusam was distributed to 50 participants. Additionally, a Telugu translation of Muhammad The Prophet of Islam by Prof. K.S. Ramakrishna Rao was presented to non-Muslim participants, fostering understanding and harmony. Over 150 participants attended the programme, including councillors from all parties, signifying unity in diversity.
The programme, convened by Mohammad Ali Danish, witnessed active participation from Mufakham Azami, Mustafa, Farid, Javeed, Khaleel, Rasib Saboor Khan, Muhammad Ayub, and other dedicated organisers.
The Municipal Chairman and Vice Chairman appreciated the efforts of the organisers in creating an event that highlighted the values of unity, brotherhood, and social harmony. Mahmood Mahmood, who presided over the programme, urged everyone to instil good values and contribute actively to nation-building. The event successfully promoted the message of unity and collective responsibility for societal progress.
