Bengaluru, May 31: The Girls Islamic Organisation (GIO) successfully concluded a series of Summer Islamic Camps across the city in May 2024, themed “فَٱسْتَبِقُوا۟ ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ – so race to goodness”. Led by experienced instructors, these camps, designed for young girls, blended educational and recreational activities, emphasizing Islamic values and personal development.
One camp, held from May 16th to 26th, attracted participants aged 13 to 30 and included Qur’anic teachings, Hadith discussions, and interactive sessions. Parents expressed gratitude and satisfaction with the program’s positive impact.
Another camp, from May 4th to May 8th, hosted 12 girls for discussions on Surah Kahf, lessons on jealousy, friendship, and life purpose, along with engaging games and storytelling. It concluded with prize distribution and a feedback session.
A camp, from May 13th to May 19th, involved 20 participants in Qur’anic sessions, Dua memorization, and lectures on Islamic etiquette, with guest speakers enriching the program.
From May 1st to May 8th, another camp focused on Qur’an memorization, Seerah studies, and competitions, enhancing participants’ understanding of Islamic principles and boosting confidence.
Additional camps, from May 6th to May 13th, and April 28th to May 5th, included Qur’an and Asmaul Husna memorization, Seerah studies, and engaging competitions. Podcast sessions added a modern touch to traditional teachings.
A first-time camp from May 8th to May 12th saw 25 girls engaging in Qur’an and Hadith teachings, Seerah, Islamic lectures, games, and DIY sessions. It concluded with speeches, prize distribution, and positive feedback.
A two-week camp at Salaam Centre offered activities like cooking without fire, best out of waste projects, and jewelry-making workshops, along with daily Qur’an and Hadith sessions. It ended with a talent showcase.
A 3-day residential camp from May 16th to May 19th brought together 55 girls, covering youth productivity, legacy, stories from the Sahabas, and Islamic etiquettes, with competitions and interactive activities.
These camps provided invaluable experiences, blending Islamic education with personal development and community building. May Allah accept our efforts and grant success to future endeavors.
