Gujarat: Elderly Maulana Brutally Assaulted on Train After Being Called ‘Pakistani’

Gujarat: In a shocking incident, an elderly Maulana was brutally assaulted on a train over allegations of molestation while he was collecting donations for a madrasa in Gangapur City, Rajasthan.
The attackers accused him of misconduct, but railway authorities have not confirmed the allegations.
According to the victim’s family, he was seated and reciting the Holy Quran when the assault occurred.
The family alleged that some men boarded the train at the same time as the Maulana and began making derogatory remarks against Muslims.
A woman then pointed at him, calling him a ‘Pakistani’, which escalated the situation. When the Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) intervened and asked him to move near the door, two men and the woman attacked him mercilessly.
The Maulana, who serves as a director at a madrasa in Gangapur City, had traveled to Ankaleshwar to collect funds for his institution.
A viral video of the brutal assault shows two men and a woman misbehaving with the elderly man, slapping and hitting him repeatedly.
The footage was shared online by Jitendra Pratap Singh, a Narendra Modi supporter.
Reacting to the video, journalist Wasim Akram Tyagi wrote on X:
“Any hateful extremist traveling in a train considers it his right to attack a Muslim after seeing him. A woman made false allegations against an old man, and then a mob attacked him.”
