New Delhi, Mar 8: Union Minister for Minority Affairs, Smriti Irani launched the Haj Suvidha App and released Haj Guide 2024 during the inauguration of training of trainers program held here Monday.
In the presence of Minister of State for Minority Affairs John Barla, she inaugurated the two-day Training of Trainers Program as part of preparations for Haj 2024, declaring that Haj Suvidha App would revolutionize the pilgrimage experience. During the Haj pilgrims’ stay in Makkah and Madinah, it will utilize digital and mobile technology to give them immediate access to essential services and information they need.
BISAG-N developed the App, which will put essential information and easy access to services like flight details, accommodations, an emergency helpline, health, and training modules at pilgrims’ fingertips.
On this occasion, Smriti Irani also released Haj Guide 2024, which has been prepared to make pilgrims aware of various aspects of the pilgrimage, with special emphasis on the use of Haj Suvidha App for pilgrims. The guide is published in 10 languages and will be issued to all Haj pilgrims.
175 thousand Indian Muslims will make the Hajj this year; 140 thousand of them will go through the Haj Committee of India, and the remaining pilgrims will go through private tour operators.
