Riyadh – In preparation for Hajj 2025, Saudi Arabia has significantly intensified its efforts to prevent unauthorized attempts to perform the pilgrimage. The Kingdom has rolled out a stringent crackdown targeting individuals and groups trying to bypass official procedures, reported the Madhyamam.
The Ministry of Interior has issued repeated warnings against undertaking Hajj without proper permits. Authorities have set up checkpoints, enhanced digital surveillance, and deployed additional security personnel to curb illegal entries into Makkah and the holy sites.
So far, thousands of people have reportedly been turned away at various checkpoints, and several have been detained for attempting to enter without valid documentation. The government has also imposed hefty penalties on violators, including immediate deportation, bans on future entry, and monetary fines.
Officials emphasized that the measures are not just administrative but are aimed at ensuring the safety, health, and dignity of all pilgrims. They reiterated that overcrowding due to unauthorized participants poses serious risks, including health hazards and logistical breakdowns.
The Ministry has urged Muslims around the world to respect the sanctity and orderliness of Hajj by adhering strictly to the official registration process set through their respective countries’ authorized agencies.
These efforts are part of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to ensure a safe, organized, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience for all legitimate pilgrims in 2025.
