The Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing, yesterday released footage showing its fighters targeting Israeli military vehicles in combat zones east of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, reports Middle East Monitor. The footage showed an Israeli Namer armoured personnel carrier and a D9 military bulldozer being hit by Yassin 105 rockets.
According to the MEM report, Al-Qassam confirmed that the bulldozer was struck at dawn, and 24 hours later, their fighters took control of it, raising the Al-Qassam flag over it, and setting it on fire.
In the video, an Al-Qassam fighter can be heard saying: “This is your curse, this is Rafah,” adding, “The Israeli army is incapable of retrieving its vehicles from the ambush site – the death trap.”
Addressing the Israeli occupation’s military, the fighter continues: “We tell you, you will sink in the sands of Rafah. This is dedicated to our brothers in Yemen and the resistance axis.”
On Wednesday, Israeli occupation acknowledged the deaths of four soldiers and the injury of five others, three of whom are in critical conditions following a resistance-led explosion in a building in Tel Al-Sultan, Rafah.
