New Delhi, Jan. 21: The Hamdard Institute of International Studies at Jamia Hamdard, organized a thought-provoking Special Lecture on “Polarity in International Politics: West Asia at Crossroads.” The speaker for the event was Qamar Agha, a renowned expert on strategic affairs and West Asian Studies.
Presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. M. Afshar Alam, the event commenced with the recitation of sacred verses from the Holy Qur’an by Abdul Malik Farooqi, the Imam of Rabia Masjid. The Vice-Chancellor honoured the Guest Speaker with a bouquet, expressing appreciation on behalf of Jamia Hamdard.
The Director of Hamdard Institute of International Studies, Prof. Syeedun Nisa welcomed the distinguished guests and provided insights into the department’s objectives and activities.
The main highlight of the program was Qamar Agha’s lecture. A veteran journalist and expert in strategic affairs, he captivated the audience with profound insights into the evolving dynamics of global politics, particularly within the context of West Asia.
Vice-Chancellor Afshar Alam shared comprehensive presidential remarks, providing students with a deep understanding of the complexities inherent in global political dynamics, specifically in West Asia.
The coordinator of the program, Dr. Asif Nawaz, Assistant Professor at HIIS, presented a vote of thanks, marking the end of the program with the rendition of the National Anthem.
The event was anchored by Amnah Aziz and Ajiya Shah, both first-year M.A. students in International Studies at HIIS.
