New Delhi: Tej Lal Bharati, a seasoned socialist leader and chairman of Bachchon Ka Ghar and Arya Samaj Anathalaya, while speaking at a function held at the office of All India Unani Tibbi Congress (AIUTC) here, said that those eyeing Waqf properties have never bothered to reflect on the conditions of Muslims. He stated that even though Muslims are counted among the weaker sections in India, they still possess a generous heart. Hindu brethren should also muster the courage to show a large heart.
He further added that Bachchon Ka Ghar is a Muslim institution, and despite being a non-Muslim, he has been serving as its chairman for a long time. To his knowledge, however, there is no Muslim heading any non-Muslim institution.
Bharati urged the Government of India not to interfere in the personal matters of Muslims, but instead ensure equal development opportunities for them and win the hearts of Indian Muslims by withdrawing the Waqf Amendment Act 2025.
On this occasion, Dr. Syed Ahmad Khan, Secretary General of AIUTC, said that Maseeh-ul-Mulk Hakim Ajmal Khan contributed greatly to the community and the nation and is a shining example of national unity. He appealed to the Delhi government to appropriately commemorate Hakim Ajmal Khan’s mausoleum and ensure the preservation of his legacy.
