Houthis and Iraqi Shiite Militia Launch Joint Missile Strike on Haifa

Sana’a, July 3: Yemen’s Houthi group, in collaboration with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, launched a joint military operation targeting the Israeli city of Haifa with several cruise missiles. The operation, which was announced by Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea on Houthi-run al-Masirah TV, successfully hit its intended target, as per a report published by Xinhua.

“The joint military operation targeted a vital location in Haifa with several cruise missiles and achieved its goals,” Sarea stated. He vowed to continue such attacks against Israel until the conflict in Gaza is resolved.

Since November last year, the Houthi group has intensified its drone and missile attacks on Israeli cities and vessels in the Red Sea to express solidarity with Palestinians amid the ongoing Gaza conflict. In retaliation, a U.S.-British naval coalition has been conducting air raids and missile strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen since January. Despite these efforts, the coalition has been unable to deter the Houthis from continuing their attacks on Israeli targets and ships.

The situation remains tense as the Houthis pledge further strikes, raising concerns over escalating violence in the region. The international community continues to monitor the developments closely, hoping for a resolution to the ongoing conflict.
