By Our Bengaluru Correspondent

Arehalli: The Humanitarian Relief Society (HRS), the relief and rehabilitation wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Karnataka, successfully concluded the final phase of its state-level volunteer training camp at Masjid-e-Hira, Arehalli.

The camp formed the concluding leg of this year’s 10-day training programme conducted in three phases across the state. Volunteers from different districts of Karnataka participated in the intensive training sessions aimed at strengthening disaster preparedness, improving emergency response capabilities, and maintaining the physical fitness and discipline of the HRS cadre.

Experienced trainers of HRS imparted practical and field-oriented training in first aid, rescue operations, fire safety measures, water-related emergencies, and accident response techniques. The programme also focused on acquainting volunteers with the latest rescue technologies and modern emergency management methods to ensure swift and effective humanitarian intervention during crises.

Addressing the participants, trainers emphasised the importance of disciplined humanitarian service and community preparedness in times of natural disasters and emergencies. The sessions included demonstrations, mock drills, and hands-on exercises designed to equip volunteers with real-time response skills.

Commander Ameer Siddiqui, Assistant Commander Abrar Ahmed, Captain Muneer, Rafiyuddin, and trainers Mohammed Salim, Mohammed Bilal, and Zubair Malpe were among those who led the training sessions and guided the volunteers throughout the camp.

HRS has been actively engaged across Karnataka in relief, rescue, rehabilitation, and humanitarian activities during floods, accidents, health emergencies, and other disaster situations.
