Hyderabad: Cow Vigilantes Assault Cattle Traders in Shamshabad, Tension Grips Area

Hyderabad— A wave of tension swept through Shamshabad on Monday night after a violent attack by alleged cow vigilantes on a group of cattle traders. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Shamshabad Road when city-based traders were transporting bulls into Hyderabad, as per a report by the Siasat.
According to reports, the gau rakshaks intercepted the traders’ vehicle, physically assaulted the driver, and forcibly took away his mobile phone and cash. The cattle were later moved to a local gaushala.
The incident prompted swift political response. AIMIM MLA Mirza Rahmath Baig, accompanied by other community leaders, visited the RGI Airport Police Station to register a protest against the attack and demand swift action. Following the complaint, police filed a case against the accused vigilantes and launched an investigation.
The attack has once again raised concerns about the increasing aggression of self-styled cow protectors and the safety of those involved in the cattle trade.
