Ibn Sina Public Health Award 2025 Honours Three Trailblazers for Exceptional Societal Impact

The prestigious Ibn Sina Public Health Award, renowned for celebrating excellence in public welfare, has been conferred on three distinguished individuals this year in recognition of their remarkable contributions to society through literature, journalism, and pharmacovigilance.
Ms. Talat Nasreen Bharti, a celebrated freelance journalist, story writer, columnist, poetess, and drama writer from New Delhi, was honored for her influential work in the fields of media and literature. Her thought-provoking writings often tackle critical social issues, helping to raise awareness and inspire change through the power of words.
Dr. R. S. Ray, serving as a Scientific Assistant at the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI) under the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), was recognized for his outstanding work in strengthening drug safety and public health systems in India. His efforts have been instrumental in enhancing nationwide pharmacovigilance practices and ensuring safer healthcare outcomes.
Dr. M. Wasif Khan, Head of Global Pharmacovigilance and Global Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV) at Evolet Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, was awarded for his leadership in international pharmacovigilance. His pioneering contributions have elevated global drug safety standards, directly influencing public health on a worldwide scale.
The Ibn Sina Public Health Award, named after the legendary physician and philosopher Ibn Sina (Avicenna), continues to honor individuals whose work embodies service, knowledge, and humanity.
