New Delhi, Feb. 22: Idara Tahqeeq-o-Tasneef, Aligarh launched its website at the Shoora Hall of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind here. Scholars of the Idara and officials and JIH staff members were present on the occasion. Dr. Mohammad Raziul Islam Nadvi, president of Idara Tahqeeq-o-Tasneef released the website.
The program commenced with recitation of Quranic verses by Maulana Muhammad Sadir Nadvi, a member of the Idara. The President gave a brief introduction of the Idara and its organ, Tahqeeqat-e-Islami, a quarterly magazine.
While delivering introductory remarks, he said immediately after the formation of JIH in 1948, the Department of Tasneef was established to carry out scholarly works. It was shifted to Aligarh in 1970 from Rampur and was renamed as Idara-e-Tahqeeq. Then, in 1981 it was registered as an autonomous Society and called Idara Tahqeeq-o-Tasneef.
Maulana Sadruddin Islahi was its first president and Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari was the first secretary. Later Maulana Umari was made president of the Idara and other leaders of the Jamaat have been its trustees.
Introducing Tahqeeqat-e-Islami, he said it had been publishing regularly since January 1982 and all its issues are available on the website. “More than 15 MPhil and PhD research papers have been written in India and Pakistan on the services of the magazine, Idara (institution) and its officials,” he added.
After the launching ceremony of the website, Mr. Ansarullah, in-charge of the IT department of the Idara, briefed the gathering about the features of the website.
Mr. Shabbir Alam Khan, JIH Acting Secretary General, suggested, “It’s not enough to create a website, rather it’s equally important to update and add new information and contents without fail.”
JIH Assistant Secretaries Dr. Rizwan Ahmad Rafiqi, Waris Husain and Saleh Shabibi were present. Mohammad Javed Iqbal (former Manager of Markazi Maktaba Islami Publishers), Dr. Irfan Waheed, Assistant Editor of Zindagi Nau and other members and workers of JIH also graced the launching program.
The secretary of the organization Maulana Ashhad Jamal Nadvi extended the vote of thanks.
