Phalodi | A career guidance seminar was organized in Phalodi city under the “Western Rajasthan Education Movement” by SIO Rajasthan, in collaboration with GP Tuition Classes at Barkat Colony. The seminar aimed to address the challenges faced by Class 10 and 12 students in subject selection.
The event began with a recitation of the Quran. Sarfaraz Ahmad, the movement’s coordinator, introduced the Western Rajasthan Education Movement, launched by SIO Rajasthan in 2019 to promote education awareness through various programs. He also shared details about the upcoming Board Award Program.
The chief guest, career counselor Muhammad Abid Khan, delivered an educational career guidance presentation via PPT to approximately 35 students, providing insights into various courses. Considering the region’s economic challenges and the trend of dropouts after school due to financial constraints, he encouraged students to pursue short-term, cost-effective courses such as STC, NTT, ITI, BTech, Diploma, Refinery, Solar Energy, Beautician, Health Department, and Sports, as well as to prepare for government job applications to improve their economic, social, and educational status.
Special guest Salim Akhtar delivered a motivational speech on education, ethics, and addressing students’ current challenges. At the end of the seminar, Abid Khan conducted personalized education counseling for around 20 students. Sarfaraz Ahmad, convener of the Western Rajasthan Education Movement, and Salim Akhtar, Assistant Secretary of JIH Rajasthan, were also present, along with notable attendees from Phalodi, including Shaukat Sahab, Qari Muhammad Shakir Sahab, Haji Gulam Nabi Sahab, Saddam Sheru Sahab, GP Tuition teachers Hameed Khan, Master Allahnoor Sahab, Rafeeq Ahmad Sahab, Engineer Saddam Hussain Sahab, Yaseen Sahab, and Siddique Sahab.
The seminar concluded with Saddam, the director of GP Tuition Classes, expressing gratitude to all guests, parents, and students.
