New Delhi: The IEEE Jamia Hamdard Student Branch, under the Department of Computer Sciences & Engineering, successfully organised TECHNOZOVA 6.0, its Annual Techno-Cultural Fest, at Jamia Hamdard on January 21–22, 2026. The two-day event attracted enthusiastic participation from nearly 500 students representing various universities across the Delhi NCR region.
The fest commenced with a dignified inaugural ceremony, graciously attended by Dr. Somnath Singh, Deputy Director of the UN Global Compact Network India, as the Chief Guest. The occasion was further honoured by the presence of Prof. S. Raisuddin, Dean, Academics, Jamia Hamdard; Prof. Javed Ahmed, (SEST), Jamia Hamdard; and the function was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) M. Afshar Alam, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard. The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Dr. Parul Agarwal, Dean, School of Engineering Sciences and Technology (SEST), Jamia Hamdard.
During the inaugural session, several key institutional initiatives were launched, including Mindspark 7.0, the annual magazine of IEEE-JHSB; the official IEEE-JHSB website; and the Instagram and LinkedIn pages of the School of Engineering Sciences and Technology, marking significant strides in digital outreach and academic visibility.
TECHNOZOVA 6.0 showcased a wide array of events designed to promote innovation, creativity, and experiential learning. Notable highlights included Build Beacon 1.0, the first 24-hour hackathon organised under IEEE-JHSB; technical exhibitions featuring student-designed artefacts; and competitive events such as RoboSumo, Cryptography Challenge, UI/UX and Poster Making competitions. The fest also featured interactive activities including a Treasure Hunt, Powerlifting, FIFA Tournament, Video Editing Competition, and the culturally enriching Kalaam-e-Jazbaat Mushaira.
The lively campus atmosphere was further enhanced by beautifully decorated venues and a variety of stalls offering food, student artefacts, jewellery, face painting, exhibitions, and career counselling, creating a vibrant and inclusive environment for all attendees.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. M.N. Hoda, Chair of IEEE Delhi Section and Director of BVICAM, as the Chief Guest, and Prof. Dr. Mansaf Alam of Jamia Millia Islamia as the Guest of Honour. The programme was presided over by Col. Tahir Mustafa, Registrar of Jamia Hamdard, with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Parul Agarwal, Dean of SEST.
The concluding ceremony celebrated the success of the fest and acknowledged the dedicated efforts of students, faculty, sponsors, and volunteers. The event culminated on a high note with an energetic live band performance that brought the campus community together in celebration.
TECHNOZOVA 6.0 achieved its objectives of promoting technical excellence, innovation, cultural expression, and inter-university collaboration, reinforcing the IEEE-JHSB’s role as a leading student-driven academic body at Jamia Hamdard.
The programme was also attended by several distinguished dignitaries including Prof. Farheen Siddiqui, Prof. Harleen Kaur, Dr. Mohd. Abdul Ahad, Dr. Bhabya Alankar, Dr. Safdar Tanveer and Mr. Mirza Rahil Beg.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Richa Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Sciences & Engineering, Jamia Hamdard, followed by the National Anthem.
