Riyadh: The International Indian Professionals Association (IIPA) successfully organised an insightful and well-attended event focused on “Study Opportunities in Medical and Engineering fields in Saudi Arabia”. The programme witnessed a remarkable turnout, with enthusiastic participation from over 300 students, parents, and education professionals from across the Indian community.
The event opened with a thought-provoking welcome speech by Mr. Mir Mujahed Ali, Vice-President of IIPA, who emphasised the importance of community service, purposeful living, and true education as essential pillars of both individual growth and societal development. He emphasised that platforms like IIPA are a blessing, enabling people from diverse backgrounds to come together in shared learning and mutual growth – thus contributing meaningfully to the development of our great nation, India.
The event featured expert presentations and engaging dialogue by distinguished academicians, including Prof. Ateekh Ur Rahman, Prof. Mukhtar Ahmed, Prof. Farooq Adil and Prof. Shaikh Mujeeb. They offered valuable guidance on career planning, entrance examinations and the academic pathways available to Indian students both within the Kingdom and abroad.
One of the major highlights of the event was the live interaction between attendees and current Indian students enrolled in regional universities, which provided first-hand insights into student life, academic culture and the real-time experiences. Among the student volunteers who played a key role in this segment were Mohammed Hamzah Ali, pursuing MBBS from AlMareefa University; Asma Vaheed Khan, pursuing BS in Information Systems from Prince Sultan University; and Mariyam Vaheed Khan, pursuing BS in Architecture from Prince Sultan University. Their willingness to answer audience queries not only added depth to the session but also inspired students to follow in their footsteps.
The Q&A session sparked a highly encouraging response from the audience, with students and parents eagerly seeking clarity on admissions, eligibility and future prospects.
Dr. Shafeeq Ahmed, President of IIPA, concluded the event with a warm thank-you speech while also conducting a brief yet impactful session on parenting strategies. He highlighted the importance of emotional support, academic balance and motivation in shaping a child’s career journey. The segment resonated strongly with the audience and added meaningful value to the overall programme.
Mr. Kaleem Pasha’s efforts were sincerely appreciated for coordinating with the guest speakers and student volunteers. He was ably supported by IIPA Executive team members Mr. Shahed Mohiuddin, Mr. Azmat Shaikh, Mr. Abdul Hameed, Mr. Mohammed Khaleel and Mr. Mohammed Samiuddin.
