New Delhi: In a press conference at Press Club of India here Thursday, Jamiat Ahle Hadees Hind announced plans to host its 35th All India Ahle Hadees Conference on “Respect for Humanity and World Religions” on November 9-10. The conference aims to address issues of hate, Islamophobia, and blasphemy. Distinguished speakers will include Sheikh Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Buaijan, Imam of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madina, along with other religious leaders from India and abroad.
Maulana Asghar Ali Imam Mahdi Salafi, President of Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadees Hind, shared that the event will be held at Ramlila Ground here. He described the gathering as a step in fostering respect for humanity and religious diversity, noting that prominent scholars, intellectuals, and social leaders from around the world will contribute talks, discussions, and literary presentations on this theme.
Highlighting the event’s spiritual significance, Salafi announced that Sheikh Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Buaijan will inaugurate the conference with an address on November 9 and lead the Maghrib and Isha prayers on November 10.
“The Sheikh will share messages of peace, love, and human brotherhood inspired by the Quran and Sunnah,” he added.
The conference is intended to serve as a milestone, uniting voices for peace, tolerance, and national harmony. It will address pressing social issues such as violence, terrorism, substance abuse, dowry, bribery, exploitation, inequality, and environmental conservation, aiming to cultivate a sense of responsibility for humanity and the natural world. The media, as the nation’s fourth pillar, was urged to support these goals positively.
A two-day national seminar will also be held on the respect for humanity and world religions. Also, the organisation will release special editions of periodicals and a range of historical and research-focused books in Urdu, Hindi, and English.
