IMCR expects positive judgement by SC on Waqf tomorrow

The Indian Muslims for Civil Rights (IMCR) during a press conference at its headquarters in Nizamuddin on Wednesday has said that they are expecting a positive judgement from the Supreme Court which was hearing petitions challenging the constitutionality of some of the provisions of the Waqf Act.
Mohammad Adeeb, Chairman of IMCR, Former Rajya Sabha MP while addressing media persons briefed them about the positive discussions during the petition and said that he is optimist and hopeful of a positive judgement in favor of Muslim community keeping in mind the constitutional rights provided to the Muslim community on freedom of religion. The former MP also said that the government mislead on Waqf in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and also during the hearing in Supreme Court.
Mohammad Ali Shabbir, Advisor to the Government of Telangana while clearing the doubts of media person on some of the provisions of Waqf Act informed that today’s hearing in the Supreme Court was in the right direction and if the discussions moves forward in the same manner as it was done during today’s hearing then it is accepted that there will be a good judgement tomorrow if the Supreme Court decides to deliver it’s judgement tomorrow.
