Mumbai: The 27th Annual Jashn-e-Dastar Hifz-o-Qirat at Jamia Qadriya Ashrafiya witnessed a resounding call for strengthening the connection with the Holy Quran. Addressing the gathering, Maulana Syed Moinuddin Ashraf (alias Moin Miya), Sajjada Nashin of Kichhauchha Sharif, emphasized that implementing Quranic teachings is the only way to establish a righteous society and eliminate its evils. He stressed that Quranic principles are universal and offer solutions to all problems, urging the adoption of its laws to curb crime.
Moin Miya, President of All India Sunni Jamiat-ul-Ulama, encouraged attendees to make daily Quranic recitation a habit, stating that it purifies the heart and provides relief from hardships. He congratulated the students who had completed the memorization of the Quran, calling them its true bearers.
Mufti Zubair Ahmad Barkati highlighted the importance of imparting Quranic education to the youth, stressing that national welfare lies in a balance of religious and contemporary learning. The prosperity and well-being of the community lies in equipping the children with both literary and spiritual education. He further said that these Hafiz-e-Quran who have preserved the Quran in their hearts are the protectors of the Quran as well as of the community in the future.
The event concluded with Moin Miya’s emotional supplication, and certificates were awarded to 16 Huffaz and 5 Qaris.
