Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak praised the upcoming flag hoisting at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and framed the November 25 ceremony as a national celebration. His remarks reflect the growing pro Hindutva tone that shapes political and public discourse across the country.
Pathak said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit marks a milestone for those who supported the Ram Temple movement. He called the Dharma Dhwaj a symbol of triumph. He said Ayodhya will witness a moment that many waited for across decades. His comments signal the central role the temple plays in current political identity.
The event takes place as concerns rise among Muslims about the direction of the country. Jamiat Ulama e Hind President Arshad Madani said Muslims face pressure in public life. He pointed to cases like Azam Khan and the action against Al Falah University. He said Muslims in India struggle to reach leadership positions in education and governance. He compared this with Muslim mayors elected abroad, and said the environment in India reflects exclusion.
Madani also raised the arrest of Al Falah Group Chairman Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui. Officials accused him of financial wrongdoing. Pathak rejected Madani’s concerns and said India moves forward with constitutional values. Many Muslims say the political climate leaves them unheard as the state places increasing focus on Hindutva symbols and ceremonies.
