Indian Hajj Mission Deploys Teams to Assist Pilgrims’ Journey to Mina

As the core five days of Hajj began, the Indian Hajj Mission has deployed its officials and support teams to facilitate the movement of Indian pilgrims from Makkah to Mina in Saudi Arabia. These efforts mark a critical phase in the sacred pilgrimage and reflect India’s commitment to ensuring a safe and smooth experience for its citizens undertaking Hajj, reported the Siasat.
According to a post by the Indian Hajj Pilgrims Office on social media platform X, “‘Team India’ officials are on duty to facilitate the movement of Indian Haj pilgrims to smoothly avail the transport services to reach their designated camps in Mina.” The officials are also providing extra assistance to vulnerable pilgrims to ensure they board buses safely.
Union Minister of Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, extended his best wishes to the pilgrims, stating, “My heartfelt wishes to all Indian pilgrims performing Hajj this year. Our Hajj Mission, led by officials and teams, is fully prepared in coordination with Saudi authorities. Admin and medical teams will be present in all Mina camps. For any assistance, use the Hajj Suvidha App or toll-free numbers. May your Hajj be smooth, blessed and spiritually fulfilling.”
Earlier, Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Suhel Ajaz Khan, personally addressed the pilgrims and assured them of comprehensive administrative and medical support. He expressed confidence in the preparations made to support the spiritual journey of thousands of Indians.
In Jeddah, India’s Consul General Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri chaired a detailed briefing to oversee medical and logistical arrangements in the Mashaer region—covering Mina, Muzdalifah, and Arafat. The meeting was attended by Indian Consul (Hajj) Muhammed Abdul Jaleel, as well as doctors, nurses, and officials deployed as part of ‘Team India’.
Indian pilgrims who have already arrived in Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2025 have expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and facilities. According to the Ministry of Minority Affairs, “Indian pilgrims who went for Hajj 2025 through the Hajj Committee of India are very happy with the management of the Government of India and the facilities being provided there.”
Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs, George Kurian, also praised the collective efforts of the Indian government in ensuring a safe, dignified, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj for all Indian pilgrims.
