New Delhi: A high-level joint delegation representing prominent Muslim organisations in India met with H.E. Mr. Yousef Mustafa Ali Abdel Ghani, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, along with Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Falah, at the Jordanian Embassy in New Delhi. The meeting aimed to convey deep concern over the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and to seek Jordan’s active involvement in efforts to end the crisis.
During the meeting, the delegation urged the Jordanian government, through the Hon’ble Ambassador, to play a proactive, concrete, and meaningful role in alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people. They emphasized the need for Jordan to strongly condemn the ongoing Israeli atrocities, provide humanitarian assistance to the besieged people of Gaza, and intensify diplomatic efforts toward the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine.
The joint delegation included Syed Sadatullah Husaini, President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind; Dr. Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas, Spokesperson of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board; Azeemullah Qasmi, National Coordinator of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind; Malik Moatasim Khan, General Secretary of the Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR); Dr. Shees Idrees Taimi, Secretary of Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadees Hind; Abdul Hafeez, National President of the Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO); Rizwan Ahmad Rafeequi, Assistant Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind; and Yunus Mullah, National Secretary of SIO.
The delegation stressed that the situation in Gaza has reached an unbearable point and called for the international community, especially influential Muslim nations like Jordan, to stand firmly in solidarity with the Palestinians in their legitimate struggle for freedom and justice.
