Bengaluru: Indian National League has planned to observe Founder’s Day in fond memory of its founder late Ebrahim Sulaiman Sait here on November 3.
Speaking to the media, party leaders remembered the contributions of Sulaiman Sait as a Member of Parliament for nearly four decades. He was a champion of minorities, downtrodden and Dalits’ cause. He dedicated his life to uphold the political and civil rights of the weaker sections of society.
Since 3rd November 2024 is the 104th birthday of the late Sulaiman Sait, who laid the foundation of Indian National League in 1994, the party has planned a national level convention on the day. Some of the leaders of his time across the party lines who had worked with him will be invited, they said. Prof. Mohammed Sulaiman, national president of the party, Karnataka Assembly speaker UT Khader, state minister Zameer Ahmed Khan, MLA Rizwan Arshad are likely to participate in the convention. Elections for office bearers of National Women League will also be held the same day, they said.
