Sikar, Jan. 27: Iqra Public Secondary School celebrated with great pomp the Republic Day here Friday.
Educationist Muhammad Yunus was the Chief Guest of the flag-hoisting ceremony. The school children presented songs filled with patriotism and performed physical exercises.
Certificates were distributed to the students, who participated in the Islamic Knowledge Test. The students also staged a play on ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’.
Chief Guest Muhammad Yunus and school management committee secretary Zakir Hussain inspired the students to continuously progress in the field of education. Usman Ghani, former president of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Sikar, highlighted importance of the Republic Day, mentioning the right to religious freedom enshrined in the Constitution.
Muhammad Yunus and school teacher Javed Ali were felicitated for their outstanding work as BLOs. The program was conducted by Javed Ali.
