Iran Rejects Trump’s Ceasefire Claim as Fabrication Aimed at Covering US Humiliation

Tehran— Iran has categorically dismissed recent claims by former US President Donald Trump regarding a ceasefire proposal between Tehran and Tel Aviv, labeling the assertion as entirely “fabricated” and a diversionary tactic to shift focus from Washington’s recent setbacks.
According to a report by Fars News Agency, a senior Iranian official denied that any formal or informal ceasefire initiative had been received by the Islamic Republic—either directly or through intermediaries. The unnamed source emphasized that Iran had no knowledge of such a proposal and considered the narrative a strategic ploy to distract global attention from a significant blow suffered by the United States.
“The propaganda around a ceasefire is just a media stunt meant to whitewash the humiliation faced by the US,” the report stated. “Iran’s response will come not in words, but through decisive action on the battlefield.”
Trump’s claim, posted on his Truth Social platform, came shortly after Iran’s armed forces launched a direct missile strike on a US military base in Qatar. The attack reportedly resulted in multiple direct hits and was conducted in retaliation for an earlier American assault on three Iranian nuclear facilities—an act Iran deems a gross violation of international law.
The US military involvement marks a sharp escalation, coming days after Iran retaliated against Israel’s unprovoked aggression on June 13, during which the Zionist regime suffered severe damage from Iranian drones and missile strikes.
Iranian officials continue to assert that the Islamic Republic will not be coerced into any externally imposed peace and is determined to hold all aggressors accountable through what it describes as a “True Promise III” campaign of just retaliation.
