The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army has issued a statement celebrating the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, describing it as a momentous victory for the Palestinian Resistance and a testament to the unwavering spirit of the Gaza people, reports the Mehr News.
Congratulating the Palestinians, the statement highlighted the resilience and determination of Gaza’s population, emphasising that the ceasefire marks a decisive chapter in the Palestinian struggle. “This great victory strengthens the resolve of the Resistance and stands as a historic epic of bravery by the Palestinian nation,” the statement read.
Iran’s Army acknowledged the immense hardships endured by the people of Gaza over 15 months of aggression, displacement, and atrocities perpetrated by the Zionist regime. The Army declared, “The perseverance and determination of Gaza’s people have borne fruit, etching this triumph into the annals of Palestine’s proud history.”
The statement described Gaza’s steadfastness as a beacon of hope for free nations worldwide and a pivotal moment in the broader fight against Zionism. It reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause until the complete liberation of Palestine.
The Army also honoured the sacrifices of Resistance fighters across Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen, expressing hope for the continued inspiration and purpose driving the struggle for Palestinian freedom.
This announcement follows the formal declaration of a ceasefire in Gaza, bringing temporary relief after prolonged violence and suffering. The Iranian military underscored its solidarity with Palestine, reiterating its pledge to back the Resistance in its pursuit of justice and liberation.
