Islamic Exhibition Marks the Milad-un-Nabi

Bengaluru: In view of Milad-ul-Nabi, a two-day Islamic eco-session was held at Madrasah Sabeel Al-Falah near Tipu Sultan Mosque, in Devanhalli, the birthplace of Tiger of Mysore Tipu Sultan.

Various types of charts and models depicting the historical events and places such as the Battle of Badr, Battle of Uhd, Ka’aba, Old and Modern Madinah Map, Gumbad-e-Khizra, etc. were exhibited. The madrasa students who crafted these were there to explain to the visitors. A large number of men and women from nearby places also thronged the spiritual centre.

Madrasa Rector Sameer Ahmad Rashadi said the motto behind the exhibition was to develop interest in Islamic history among the common people and boost the skill of students in craft and art.

Another such exhibition was held in Hosapete, Vijayanagar district on the Milad-un-Nabi occasion. This is the fourth consecutive year for such an exhibition. This time the major highlight was interschool competition. Students of various English medium schools such as Hira International School, Oriental School exhibited their creations that was highly acclaimed by one and all. The exhibition was held in the premises of Masjid-e-Tayyaba. The organisers and the parents are also happy that the children took keen interest in developing the models instead of addicting to cell phones. They also get the knowledge of Islamic history which otherwise would have been difficult to teach them.
