Israel Blocking Over 22,000 Humanitarian Aid Trucks at Gaza Borders: Gaza Authorities

Gaza — The Government Media Office in Gaza has accused Israel of deliberately obstructing the entry of over 22,000 humanitarian aid trucks, a move it describes as part of a broader campaign of “starvation, siege, and chaos” against the besieged Palestinian enclave, reported the Al Jazeera.
In a strongly worded statement, the media office said that the trucks—many of which belong to the United Nations, international NGOs, and other humanitarian entities—have been stationed at Gaza’s border crossings for weeks, unable to proceed due to Israeli restrictions.
“We confirm that there are more than 22,000 humanitarian aid trucks currently parked at the Gaza Strip crossing gates… The Israeli occupation is deliberately preventing their entry as part of a systematic policy of engineering starvation, siege, and chaos,” the statement read.
Gaza authorities denounced the blockade as a “full-fledged war crime” and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, asserting that it amounts to participation in the ongoing genocide of Gaza’s population.
“We hold the Israeli occupation, along with the states involved through silence or complicity, fully responsible for the worsening humanitarian catastrophe,” the statement added.
The office demanded the immediate and unconditional entry of all aid trucks, the full reopening of border crossings, and the establishment of safe channels for delivering aid to civilians “before it is too late.”
The Gaza Health Ministry reported that six more Palestinians have died from starvation and malnutrition, raising the toll to 175 deaths, including 93 children, as a direct result of Israel’s enforced blockade and restrictions on food and medical supplies.
Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes and assaults continue to devastate the Strip. According to Al Jazeera, at least 92 people were killed today, including 56 civilians who were waiting in line for humanitarian aid.
Since the beginning of Israel’s military campaign, the death toll in Gaza has surged to 60,839, with 149,588 injured, making this one of the deadliest conflicts in recent history.
The situation has triggered growing condemnation from international rights groups and humanitarian organizations, many of whom have warned that continued blockade and bombardment could result in a total collapse of the civilian population’s survival capacity.
Despite repeated calls for a ceasefire and unimpeded humanitarian access, the crisis shows no signs of slowing. Aid agencies have also raised concerns over the weaponization of humanitarian aid as a means of warfare.
