As Israel carried out airstrikes that killed over 400 Palestinians within hours, a delegation of Israeli settlers advocating ethnic cleansing was welcomed by a senior UAE official. Led by Israel Ganz, the group met with Dr. Ali Rashid al-Nuaimi, a senior member of the UAE National Council, reported the Al Jazeera.
The delegation included Yesha Council Chairman Israel Ganz, Eliram Azoulay from Hebron Hills Regional Council, and Yesha Council CEO Omer Rahamim. They attended an iftar dinner at al-Nuaimi’s residence and discussed economic, security, and diplomatic opportunities, according to Israeli media reports.
Israeli settlers have illegally occupied 300 settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, housing around 700,000 settlers since Israel’s occupation of these lands in 1967. International law deems all such constructions illegal, yet Israel Ganz praised the UAE-Israel ties as a means to strengthen Israeli settlements.
