13 August 2024: On Tuesday, the Israeli military’s airstrike in Deir al-Balah, Gaza, resulted in the deaths of a mother and her four-day-old twin babies. Jumana Farid Abu Al-Qomsan and her infants, Asir and Aysel, were killed when their home was bombed while their father, Mohammed Abu Al-Qomsan, was away securing birth certificates for the twins.
The Gaza Health Ministry has reported that since October 7, Israeli attacks have killed 39,929 people and injured 92,240. In the past 24 hours alone, 32 Palestinians have been massacred and 88 have been injured. This includes an overnight strike in Abasan al-Kabira, Khan Younis, which resulted in at least 10 deaths and multiple injuries.
Additionally, the military spokesperson for Hamas’s al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, announced that one Israeli hostage was killed by his guard, and two female captives were seriously wounded in separate incidents. Obeida stated that efforts are underway to assist the wounded, and a committee has been established to investigate the incidents.
