Tehran: The Israeli regime has intensified its military campaign inside Iranian territory by targeting residential buildings in Tehran, leading to numerous civilian deaths and injuries, as per a report by the IRNA.
According to reports, although Iranian air defense systems managed to intercept several incoming missiles, multiple neighborhoods in the Iranian capital were hit. Harrowing images from the affected areas show wounded women and children, and local sources have confirmed that there have been fatalities, though the exact death toll is still unknown.
The latest wave of Israeli aggression began on the night of June 13 with unprovoked airstrikes that struck civilian homes and also assassinated top Iranian military officials in targeted operations. Entire neighborhoods were thrown into chaos as the attacks devastated infrastructure and endangered non-combatants.
In response, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei swiftly appointed new military commanders and issued a stern warning, declaring that “life will turn bleak for Israel.” Shortly thereafter, Iran launched retaliatory strikes deep inside Israeli territory, targeting major cities including Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem.
Iranian officials have affirmed that these counterattacks will persist until the threat from Israel is neutralized and justice is served.
