– Ayesha Sultana

In a gesture of inclusivity and community engagement, ITC (Indian Tobacco Corporation) Bhadrachalam organized a heartfelt Iftar gathering, welcoming all Muslim employees to come together in observance of Ramadan. The event, held under the guidance of the Deputy General Manager of Human Resources, Shyam Kiran, and the Unit HR Head, provided a platform for reflection, unity, and dialogue among attendees.

Former President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind in Kothagudem, Abdul Samad, graced the occasion as a distinguished speaker and guest. In his address, he drew upon a verse from the Quran highlighting the universality of fasting and its spiritual significance. He emphasized the concept of God-consciousness, reflecting on how fasting transcends cultural differences and serves as a means to foster spiritual discipline and awareness.

Shyam Kiran, Deputy General Manager of Human Resources at ITC, commended the notion of God-consciousness, noting the transformative effect of Ramadan on individuals, instilling discipline and mindfulness throughout the month.

The gathering served as more than just a communal meal; it became a symbol of unity and brotherhood, bridging divides among different communities. Through shared experiences and dialogue, attendees were able to strengthen bonds and foster a deeper understanding of one another.

By hosting such events, ITC Bhadrachalam exemplifies its commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and the promotion of unity among its employees and the broader community. The Iftar gathering not only provided an opportunity for spiritual reflection but also served as a reminder of the importance of coming together in solidarity and mutual respect.
