5 June 2024: In a momentous triumph, the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) has secured a resounding victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, marking a significant milestone in its electoral journey since the 1952 elections.
Maintaining its stronghold, IUML clinched victories in Malappuram and Ponnani constituencies in Kerala, alongside a remarkable win in Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, effectively thwarting challenges posed by rival parties, including the BJP and AIADMK.
The electoral success in Kerala saw IUML’s E.T. Mohammed Basheer emerge victorious from Malappuram, while Dr. M.P. Abdussamad Samadani triumphed in Ponnani. In Tamil Nadu’s Ramanathapuram, K. Navaskani secured a decisive win, consolidating IUML’s presence across states.
The strategic collaboration with India Alliance partners and tireless efforts of party workers contributed significantly to this historic achievement. The IUML-backed Congress-led UDF also made notable strides, clinching 18 out of 20 seats in Kerala, while the DMK-IUML-Congress Alliance swept Tamil Nadu, securing all 39 seats.
This exceptional electoral performance not only underscores IUML’s enduring legacy but also reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding minority rights and upholding the principles of democracy. As elected representatives, IUML parliamentarians pledge to champion the cause of human rights and serve the interests of their constituents diligently.
The IUML’s victory resonates as a beacon of hope for marginalized communities, sending a strong message of inclusivity and resilience in the face of adversities. It marks a significant chapter in India’s democratic narrative, highlighting the power of unity and collective action in shaping the nation’s political landscape.
As the nation celebrates this historic milestone, IUML looks forward to fulfilling its mandate with integrity and dedication, contributing to the progress and prosperity of the country.
