Jaipur, May 28: A solemn condolence meeting was held on Monday in Jaipur to pay tribute to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions, who were tragically martyred in an accident. Organized jointly by Jaipur Shia Community and Rajasthan Muslim Forum, the gathering took place at the Shia Waqf Imam Bargah Hakeem Momin Ali Pannigran.
The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Maulana Syed Sadik Hussain Husaini, Maulana Syed Nazish Akbar Kazmi, Maulana Syed Ali Imam Naqvi, Maulana Syed Asad Ali Mir, President of JIH Rajasthan Mohammad Nazimuddin, Vice President of Jamiat Ulema Rajasthan Hafiz Manzoor Ali Khan, Naeem Qureshi, and Naeem Rabbani. Vaqar Ahmed Khan, State President of WPI Rajasthan, presided over the meeting.
Speakers at the meeting expressed profound sorrow over the tragic loss and fondly recalled their encounters with President Raisi during visits to Iran. They unanimously described him as a simple and kind-hearted individual. Maulana Syed Sadik Hussain Husaini, who attended President Raisi’s funeral in Iran, addressed the gathering in Jaipur. He highlighted the president’s life, his struggle for justice and humanity, and the indelible impact of his leadership.
Husaini emphasized that the martyrs have left a lasting legacy of standing against injustice and supporting the oppressed. “Their martyrdom will always be remembered,” he said, reflecting the sentiment shared by all in attendance.
