Jaipur: Jaipur held its annual “One Lamp for Harmony” event at the Shaheed Smarak, organised by various groups dedicated to secularism and social harmony. The gathering aimed to promote messages of unity, brotherhood, and peace, drawing enthusiastic participation from several prominent social organisations and city residents.
Basant Haryana, General Secretary of Rajasthan Nagrik Manch, shared that events like this cultivate an environment of love, harmony, and mutual respect within society. He described the symbolic significance of the event, noting that “One Lamp for Harmony” spreads light, love, and unity in the hearts of the audience.
Representatives from diverse religious, cultural, and social backgrounds lit lamps symbolising unity. Speakers underscored the importance of promoting peace and harmony as an ongoing commitment in society. The audience praised the initiative and advocated for regular gatherings like this to strengthen bonds across communities.
At the end, everyone joined in a collective oath of peace and harmony, pledging to uphold brotherhood in society.
