Jaipur Police Address Concerns Over Controversial Rally Advocating Hindu Rashtra

Jaipur: A coalition of organizations, including Rajasthan Muslim Forum and Forum for Democracy and Communal Amity Rajasthan (FDCA), met with Jaipur Police Commissioner today to express their concerns over an upcoming rally scheduled for September 29. The rally, organized by Yuva Shakti Manch, aims to promote the concept of a Hindu Rashtra and is viewed by the delegation as a violation of constitutional values.

The rally is set to take place in several areas of Jaipur, including Ramganj, and has been heavily publicized through hoardings and social media platforms. A video featuring Baba Balmukund Acharya, MLA from Hawa Mahal Assembly constituency, has also surfaced, raising further controversy due to his endorsement of the rally despite his oath to uphold the Constitution.

The delegation included notable figures such as Sawai Singh, President Samgra Seva Sangh and FDCA Rajasthan; Mohammad Nazimuddin, General Secretary RMF and President Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Rajasthan; Amin Kagzi, MLA from Kishanpole, Jaipur; Hafiz Manzoor Ali of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind; Shaukat Qureshi, Former Member, Waqf Board Rajasthan, and Secretary, Milli Council Rajasthan; Waqar Ahmed Khan, President WPI Rajasthan, and other dignitaries.

The delegation argued that organizing such an event is unconstitutional and could threaten communal harmony. They emphasized that India is a secular nation, and actions promoting separatism run counter to the democratic framework established by the Constitution.

During the meeting, the representatives urged the Police Commissioner to take administrative action to prevent the rally and ensure the safety of all citizens. In response, the Commissioner assured the delegation that no unconstitutional actions would be permitted.
