New Delhi: Shahi Imam of Delhi’s Jama Masjid, Syed Ahmed Bukhari, has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack targeting Hindu pilgrims in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, reported the Madhyamam.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Bukhari expressed deep sorrow and anger over the brutal incident. He emphasized that acts of terrorism are against the teachings of Islam and humanity and should be condemned by all, regardless of faith or community.
Bukhari conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured. He reiterated that violence has no place in a civilized society and called upon the government to take firm measures to prevent such attacks in the future.
Appealing for unity, the Imam urged citizens not to allow extremist actions to disturb the communal harmony of the country. He said the perpetrators must face strict legal action and justice must be ensured for the victims.
