Aurangabad: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Aurangabad City, successfully organized its quarterly gathering at Hajj House with around 450 participants, including men, women, and office bearers of affiliated bodies. The program focused on intellectual growth, organizational skills, and strengthening the Islamic movement through study and reflection.
The event began with a Qur’an lesson delivered by Rashid Khan, who explained the importance of knowledge through Surah Mujadilah. He emphasized that true knowledge leads to awareness of Allah and advised serious students to study at least three to four different tafsirs for deeper understanding.
A panel discussion followed, where speakers including Khusamuddin Makhdoomi, Dr Himayatullah Qadri, Naser Johri, Shujaatullah Khan, Sheikh Zameer, Imran Hashmi, and Faheem Malik discussed the barriers that obstruct the pursuit of knowledge. Their reflections gave participants practical insights into overcoming intellectual challenges.
Later, Rashid Khan shared his personal learning journey under the theme “My Journey of Knowledge”. He narrated how daily study during travel hours enriched his intellectual depth and strengthened reasoning skills.
In another keynote session, Khan addressed “Why and How to Study Opposing Literature”, urging members to study rival ideas not for negativity but to sharpen arguments and present Islam effectively.
Training sessions on practical learning skills were conducted by Sheikh Mohsin, Sheikh Muaz, Asma Nighat, and Asri Meraj. Topics included rapid reading, book summaries, and clear thinking.
The gathering concluded with Dr Salman Makram Siddiqui, Nazim-e-Shahr, who stressed the importance of intellectual jihad, quoting the Qur’an, and reminded youth to combine knowledge with da’wah skills to carry Islam’s message more effectively.
