New Delhi: Expressing deep sorrow over the tragic stampede at New Delhi Railway Station, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) has urged authorities to conduct a high-level and impartial inquiry into the incident, which claimed several lives and left many injured.
Prof. Salim Engineer, Vice President of JIH, extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for the swift recovery of those affected. Calling for immediate action, he emphasized the need to fix accountability for the lapses in crowd management that led to the disaster.
“The government must take responsibility and implement effective measures to prevent such tragedies in the future. Ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens, especially during large public gatherings, must be a top priority,” he stated.
