New Delhi: The Central Educational Board of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind continues its committed efforts in developing curriculum books for school students, particularly focusing on early grade levels. The board has published several books in Urdu for Islamic studies, covering Nursery, Lower KG, Upper KG, Class 1, and Class 2. Additionally, four parts of Islamic studies books for part-time maktabs (morning and evening classes) have been printed in Urdu. Alongside these, curriculum books are also being prepared in English.
In a special event held at the Media Hall of the Jamaat’s headquarters today, several newly developed English-language books were officially launched. These include the three-part series “Islamic Studies” (for Nursery, Lower KG, and Upper KG) authored by Ms. Hina Farhan from Bhopal. Another book, “English for LKG”, has been structured into two semester-wise parts. “Math’s for Nursery” and “EVS for Nursery”, both also in two-part semester formats, were developed by Dr. Anisa Zainab from Bangalore. The books were reviewed by a committee before being published.
The event began with a recitation of the Qur’an by Qari Abdul Mannan, followed by an introduction to the board’s activities by Maulana Inamullah Falahi. He emphasized the board’s ongoing revision of previously published books in line with the national education policy and the need for updated materials. Ms. Hina Farhan also highlighted the unique features of the Islamic Studies books.
Presiding over the event, Syed Sadatullah Husaini, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, expressed concern over the cultural and ideological invasion Muslims face today. He stated, “On one hand, we face the onslaught of Western culture, and on the other, we are surrounded by a rising tide of idolatrous ideologies within our own country. In such a scenario, nurturing a firm Islamic faith and instilling the ability to discern right from wrong in children is a pressing need of our time.”
The book release event was attended by prominent personalities, including Jamaat’s Vice President Muhammad Saleem Engineer, Delhi Zone Ameer Saleemullah Khan, Secretary Shafi Madani, Shariah Council Secretary Dr. Raziul Islam Nadwi, Manager Ramees EK, former in-charge Irshad Sahib, Editorial In-charge of Markazi Maktaba Islami Publishers Abdul Rahman Falahi, as well as school administrators and general public.
